This oil painting by Slater is unusual in that it is inscribed by the artist on the front of the painting bottom left with the title and the date 15th April 1903

He has exhibited throughout England and in America and had a solo exhibition at the Royal Society of Arts in 1962

The Goat Girl +Hogan-Emma Louise Also Inscribed and signed withKing was a well respected Victorian artist who exhibited widely. He was well known for painting landscape scenes and pretty girls. He studied under William Bromley and was a Vice President of the RI and a member of Royal Institute of Oil Painters. Watercolour 9" x 13" (in frame 17 1 2" x 22") signed
