Caption: (3) The pipe used on the "Main Ditch" for crossing from the top of the hill on one side of the Klondike Valley to the top of the hill on the other side (an "inverted siphon" [sic]). Pressure at the floor of the Valley was about 500 lbs per square inch. This was seamless steel tubing imported from germany, the only source for this size seamless in 1906.
