The brooch is set in a rope effect silver coloured metal frame, with a plastic transparent film protecting the creation. C type clasp with rotating closure to secure. In good condition, scuffs and scratches to the metal as expected of a brooch this age. The transparent film has begun to yellow due to age. Embroidered and hand made brooches were popularised during the 'make do and mend'
